Not all mold inspection companies are created equal
Living near the coast as well as having a vacation home closed for long periods of time makes it more susceptible to a mold problem that may have gone undetected. Now, there are a number of DIY testing kits for mold that are marketed for a quick do-it-yourself alternative to a mold inspection by a licensed professional. But, there are a number of factors either through your mishandling or error in sampling or due to a poorly produced or improperly stored DIY test kit that could render a false reading, endangering both your family as well as your property. It is a common knowledge that mold is present in most homes, but a DIY testing kit won’t tell you about the type, source of mold or severity of problem, which only a well-trained and certified AWA mold inspector could. Either leading you to let a problem get worse or go through an unneeded and expensive remediation that is not needed at the time wasting your valuable time and money. In addition to that we send our samples to an accredited laboratory to ensure that our analysis is sound and rooted in science.

Having the Right Tools Matters during Mold Inspection
Not every mold inspection service is equipped with the right tools or ample experience to know which tool to use when inspecting and deciding that the mold test merits mold removal. This could mean imminent health risks for you and your family and a threat to one of the most expensive investment of yours. In particular, black mold can be a costly and dangerous problem, particularly when infestations of toxic black mold occur, the timely and correct decision of which technique for mold detection to use can mean both hazard to your health and money savings in expensive mold remediation work. Our versatile and experienced team is expert in determining if the air sampling, surface mold sampling or bulk mold sampling is the right approach for you. These are the services we provided to give you an accurate reading on presence of harmful mold in your home:
Air Sampling: An air tape used for our air sampling that has a glass slide inside that traps mold spores, which is then examined in a state certified lab to determine number of spores present and classify them as harmful or safe. This helps us gauge the severity of mold problem in your home.
Surface Mold Sampling: Under most circumstances our state certified mold inspectors can visually identify that mold is growing at the property, however, we may need to use a swab or a tacky tape is used when an unknown growth is found and a lab confirmation may be needed in case of an insurance claim or a lawsuit.
Bulk Mold Sampling: In case of mass contamination, such as a property’s carpeting, sheet rock or wood, the entire bulk of contamination is removed and sent to the lab for bulk sampling to determine genus of the mold within the bulk sample.
